Age and a sedentary occupation are no barrier to The University of Manchester East Asia teams determined to do their bit for UNESCO in the name of the first Manchester Purple Run for Peace and Charity. We fielded two teams of four for the 10 km run on Dec 22nd. All the teams completed the course and one of our teams (Manchester Owens) came in as second runner up in their division. We renewed contacts with some supporters and were proud and happy to bring credit to the university’s name.
