ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Academic entry qualification overview A good honours degree (minimum 2:1) or the overseas equivalent. An initial qualification in teaching, or at least one year’s professional experience in a public or private educational organisation, are desirable but not essential requirements. Please provide one satisfactory professional or academic references and a copy of your CV detailing your full work experience. You will also need to provide a personal statement (approx. 500 words) detailing why you’re interested in studying on the course. |

Dr. Paul Armstrong
Programme Director, MA Educational Leadership in Practice, MIE
Dr. Paul Armstrong is Senior Lecturer in Education at the Manchester Institute of Education, Reader in Education and Programme Director for MA Educational Leadership in Practice at The University of Manchester.
Paul's research focuses on modern approaches to educational leadership, management, and collaboration. With over 20 years of experience in education research, he has led both national and international projects and has published extensively on topics such as educational improvement, networking, leadership, management, and policy.
He is also an Editor-in-Chief: Management in Education. And a trustee at the Institute for School Business Leadership.

Dr. Bee Hughes
Deputy Programme Director, MA Educational Leadership in Practice, MIE
Dr. Bee Hughes is Senior Lecturer in Education at the Manchester Institute of Education and Deputy Programme Director for MA Educational Leadership in Practice at The University of Manchester.
Bee’s research interests lie in educational leadership, school structures, critical policy studies and ethnography. Her doctoral study focused on education policy and leadership practices within a multi-academy trust in England.
She is co-convenor of the Critical Education Leadership and Policy Research Group (CELP), and a member of British Educational Leadership Management and Administration Society (BELMAS) and the British Educational Research Association( BERA). Bee is currently Deputy Editor of the Journal Management in Education. Previously, she worked in schools as a senior leader both in Hong Kong and in the UK.

Assessment
There are no examinations. Assessments comprise of individual coursework.
